In the spring of 2020, Kirk Williams and his family purchased the property formerly known as Norwoods Golf Course in Huntington, Indiana. With a vision rooted in renewal and purpose, the Williams family set out to create a new legacy—one that would breathe fresh life into a course in need of restoration. As part of that vision, the course was thoughtfully renamed Maple Grove Golf Course.

From the very beginning, the Williams family approached this endeavor with passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment. Through countless hours of hard work, they, alongside their team, have worked tirelessly to rebuild, rebrand, and restore a once-beloved golf course—bringing it back to a place of pride within the community.

On Friday, June 27, 2025, Kirk Williams passed away unexpectedly. His absence is deeply felt—not only by his family and close friends, but also by the many individuals whose lives he touched throughout the golf community. Kirk’s presence, generosity, and love for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Maple Grove Golf Course stands today as a testament to Kirk’s courage and faith. It would not exist without the leap of faith he and his family took together. We are all better for having known him.

Today, Kirk’s legacy continues through his family. His wife, Sara; daughter, Nicque; and sons, Nolan and Josh carry forward the vision he so passionately began. Through their leadership, Maple Grove Golf Course remains a place defined by the same kindness, joy, and sense of community that Kirk embodied.

Kirk Williams’ legacy will forever live on—not only in the fairways and greens of Maple Grove, but in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
